Benefits to the Individual in Our Program |
||
|
Our program is designed to help an individual make a successful and satisfying career change to a position that is the best possible match for him/her. The materials in this manual are divided into three areas:
1. Self assessment 2. Development and execution of a marketing plan 3. Marketing techniques- resume, letters, interviewing, and telemarketlng
Each phase of the program requires time, thought, and effort so that you may successfully secure a new position.
The program and materials will assist you in responding to the four basic questions each person must answer while in the process of securing a new position:
1. What skills, abilities, personal characteristics, and accomplishments do I possess that I can offer a potential employer?
2. What type of position and work environment would I find most satisfying?
3. What image and information should I convey in my resume, cover letters, telephone conversations, and interviews to make the best impression possible?
4. How do I most effectively penetrate the job market to secure a new position?
Anyone can find a job! If your goal is to secure a new position that will maximize your potential and be the best opportunity possible for you, you must dedicate yourself to taking the time and having the energy and positive attitude it takes to accomplish this goal |

Benefits to Employers |
||
|
Discourages Legal Action: When a company demonstrates concern by providing outplacement services, the likelihood of legal action against the company is greatly reduced. Our goal is to have the separated employee “future-focused” as soon as possible.
Maintains Good Employee Relations: Corporate sponsorship of outplacement services reinforces the firm’s respectability with remaining employees by demonstrating a sense of fairness and concern.
Avoids Potential Problems: Separations may often evoke destructive, negative reactions from the workforce. The objective third-party consultant helps transform these potentially negative reactions into more constructive positive action.
Earns Goodwill: Maintaining a positive reputation even through the most awkward situations is a priority for every company. The manner in which the employment separation is conducted significantly impacts a company’s reputation.
Controls Costs: Since employees often receive substantial severance packages, outplacement assistance can minimize the time that is spent in transition. As a result, outplacement can reduce the company’s related unemployment costs.
Supports Managers: For many Managers the most difficult task they must perform is separating employees from the organization. Knowing that a professional outplacement service is immediately available can greatly reduce the stress and anxiety associated with this unpleasant task.
Reinforces Career Compatibility: The intensive assessment program helps determine the appropriateness of each individual’s current career path. An individually developed career marketing plan ensures the best utilization of their strengths and abilities.
