Frequently Asked Questions

The only stupid Question is the one you never ask!!

Are there fees involved???

All fees are paid by our client companies. There is never a charge to the candidate for anything. Also, all interviewing expenses and relocation expenses (companies have different packages) are paid by the client companies.

How long before I acquire a new position???

There is no accurate formula for anyone to answer this question, especially in this day and time. There are many, many variables and no one truly knows. Many recruiters will mention a time frame based on things like: years of experience, specialty or expertise, and other factors. But in today's market, there is no definite answer. We will try to give you some sort of estimate, however, there are no guarantees.

Should you be contacted before your resume is submitted???

Most of the time we would answer "NO" to you. Since recruiters have many, many years of experience, it is best to let us do what we do best. It is "your" job to provide the recruiter with as much information as possible at the beginning. We always ask candidates to fill out a basic questionnaire which will give us all of the front end information to allow us to talk with our client companies. 95%-98% of the time, any company will request the resume to review before making any decision on the level of interest in any candidate. If a recruiter has to call every candidate, every time he/she wants to investigate a position in behalf of a candidate, us recruiters would not have the time to present you to positions for which you qualify and in geographic areas in which you have interest. If you send your resume to a recruiter, let them perform in a manner that affords you the best opportunity to acquire the best possible position available.

Is there a problem with a resume being submitted by more than one source???

NO!! and my second answer is NO!! With today's technology, "most" companies have a logging system that inputs the name of every candidate into the computer. As submittals are received, the candidate names are checked against the candidates who are already in the system. This is done in the human resource department. By the time the resumes are sent to the hiring Manager, there will be no duplicates. But of course, we do not live in a "perfect" world and there is certainly a chance that someone will notice a duplicate submittal. Our philosophy is that if a Manager is so shortsighted to assume that this would be a negative reason for looking at a candidate, then we feel that it would not be in your best interest for you to consider working for this type of person.
